Our host, Mark Hawes, chats with influential entrepreneurs each month and we gaurantee these conversations will give you inspiration, practical takeaways and maybe even a few laughs! Declan O'Reilly, O'Reilly Insurance
Declan O’Reilly was born and raised in Ireland and came to Canada in 1981. Declan entered the financial services insurance industry as a recruitment manager for Sun Life before venturing on to start O’Reilly Insurance Ltd the co-operators in 2007. Over 12 years, Declan successfully moved his business from 22nd to third place ranking in numbers of households served. Today, Declan’s is the largest co-operators single location office in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
For 22 years, Declan coached soccer in Saskatoon, all levels, ages and genders. In 2006, Declan was recognized with a 100 People, 100 Reasons award for his work in the soccer community and as the Fundraising Chair for the Saskatoon Soccer Centre.
Currently, Declan keeps busy as the mechanic for his son Oliver, who is an accomplished kart racer with the Saskatoon Kart Racing Club. Married to author Lisa Bird-Wilson, they have raised seven children together. Declan is a proud grandfather to Onóra and Kaya.
